The Sky Awaits

It won't be until the second half of 2006, til we get to enter the updated and renovated Griffith Observatory. This beloved gift to the city of Los Angeles was given by Col. Griffith J. Griffith, and has been a major landmark since 1935.
Viewing the photos on the Griffith site, it looks pretty thrashed, but I'm anxious to check it out once it's completed.
When I was younger, I've really enjoyed calling the Sky Report, narrated by John Mosley. You can call (323) 663-8171. But now you can just go to the site online and read the transcript of the recording.
I don't know about you, but I have nice childhood memories here. And my love for Astronomy grows every time I visit the observatory. Come on, let's set a time, so when it opens, we can explore the 'heavens' together.

Yeah, I know. But now there will be more to see and experience from what they are promising. Good, now I can get you into the really geeky stuff!
