Sealed Soon

I took my oath on Thurday of last week. It went rather quickly and uncerimoniously. I wanted to say, "So help me God!" at the end but there wasn't time and the nice county clerk cut me off.

Pretty soon, I'll have my very own...

...and now I can proudly serve the (blue) State of California.

Between 1440-1490, I'd probably look like this...

...in medieval Italy.

Or I could have had my portrait taken like this in 1510 Europe:

Either way, I'm a little glad that we aren't required to wear those neat hats today. But it would have been fun.

Amanda,

Call me when you get your parapharnalia, so we can do business together. I can always use a Notary Public who serves to the best (read honest and ethical) of her ability. Congratulations!

Arien, I've already been a Notary for about 2 weeks now. I'm not very confident BUT it is going well. Let's go!
