Bits & Pieces
... which is why I am doing a good deed by taking off for the night, getting dinner out, coming home late, and thereby doing my fair share to take away the temptation of mayhem and cavities - it's for their good! And judging from the gaggle of uncostumed high school boys who were wandering around door to door when I pulled up to the curb, prowling for candy (MUCH too old for this sort of thing), I'm doing the right thing.I'm going to post a sign on my front door:"Thank you for your interest. My next lecture on the origins of Hallowe'en in history through the Middle Ages and up to the present will begin in approximately forty-five minutes. Please wait quietly for the lecture to begin. Thank you."I'll let you know how that works out...- Keith
Yes! I heard a few low-pitched voices hollering "Trick-or-treat!"BTW: I would have LOVED to have heard your lecture! When is your next one?
So true. Parents many times contradict themselves. They say they believe parents should this and that. But then they go off doing exactly what they are against.
